If you have always wanted to try golf or have not played in years and want to pick it up again, this is an easy, inexpensive way to get into the sport. For just $99, you will get four weeks of professional instruction from a Montgomery County Golf Academy Certified Instructor, and learn the basics of golf: proper stance, grip, chipping, putting, driving, golf etiquette, and more. Fee covers loaner clubs and balls. Class sizes are small (no more than 8 students), so you are sure to get a good bit of personal attention.

Badminton for Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced

Women's Drop-In basketball is a non-competitive, drop-in basketball program, just for women. Teams are made up of individuals and play pick-up games. A staff person will run a clock and keep score for all games. A great way to meet new people and have fun! All skill levels are encouraged. The location is Bauer Community Center. Starts Sunday mornings, July 14, and ends Sunday, August 25, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. There is a 6-week session. No games on Sunday, Aug. 18.

Pickleball Class for Beginners; hottest and fastest growing sport in the United States. Pickleball is a fun and social combination of tennis, badminton, and table tennis with less running and wear and tear on the body, which provides a lifelong hobby. This class is designed to offer an introduction and overview of how Pickleball is played. Over the three classes, individuals will gain a better understanding of basic rules, scoring, and gameplay. Learn court setup and layout, and practice various serves, returns, third shots, volleying, and dinks. Class discussions on proper warm-up, game strategies, and how to play with a partner. Men's 50 + adult soccer league. Games will be played on Sunday's . Game times are 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.. Regular season is 8 games Games will be played potentially between Laytonia Recreational Park and South Germantown park depending on permit availability. Uniforms must be provided by each team. No Playoffs. Games begin September 8th weekend. Rosters are due prior to week 1. 11v11 90 minute games.

Men's 65 + soccer league will be played on Sunday's at North Potomac Community Center. 8 game regular season. No Playoffs. Games begin September 8th. Games times are 9:00 am to 3:00 p.m. Games are 11 v 11 but both managers can agree to play 10v10 or 12v12 if numbers allow it.

Rosters will be open for the year and all add drops will be done at the field.

Men's 18 + adult soccer league. Games will be played on Sunday's. Game times are 10:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.. Regular season is 8 games. Games could be played at different locations throughout the county (Germantown, Silver spring, Burtonsville. Uniforms must be provided by each team. Rosters are due prior to season and 32 players allowed per team. 11v11 90 minute games. No playoffs in Fall. League will be broken down into divisions based off of how many teams register.

Women's 25 + adult soccer league. Games will be played on Saturday's. Game times are 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.. Regular season is 8 games. No Playoffs. Games will be played at North Potomac Community Center Turf Field. Uniforms must be provided by each team. Roster size is 32 players and must be completed prior to season. 11v11 90 minute games. 2 Licensed referees per game.

Free agent list will be provided to teams looking for extra players. Season starts September 7th. No Games October 12th (facility is hosting a fall event)

Women's 40 and over adult soccer league. Games will be played on Wednesday nights. Game times are 7:00 and 8:50. Regular season is 8 games. Apply the volleyball skills you’ve worked so hard to develop with our new Youth Volleyball League! With a good sport atmosphere conducive to player learning and development, our coaches provide a quality recreation environment for players and parents. Weekly practices followed by refereed matches allow players to develop teamwork, learn sportsmanship, and embrace friendly competition! The Youth Volleyball League is open to intermediate through advanced players, and will include a day of evaluations, five weeks of practices and matches, and a playoff tournament!

Players in this age group must have participated in a minimum of one skills clinic or have equivalent volleyball experience.
